Individual Therapy

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and therapist. I provide individual therapy to clients ages 18 and up.  It’s important to me that I am welcoming, affirming, and inclusive in my work with clients, and that I work from an anti-oppression lens.

My interests include working with clients experiencing anxiety (generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, OCD, specific phobia), depression, past trauma, relationship issues, life transitions and grief and loss.  I am especially passionate about helping clients work through anxiety and perfectionism.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in systems therapy, which is based on the belief that an individual cannot be understood alone but rather in conjunction with their environment. Building on this framework, I use evidence-based-practices (EBPs) in my work with clients; this means that the therapeutic techniques have been shown to be effective.

I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), exposure and prevention response (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and mindfulness techniques. I tailor my counseling approach to fit your specific needs in therapy.
